Jose makes his living selling handmade items in the streets of Metro Manila. He is a picture of a dutiful grandson as part of his sales always goes to the purchase of his sick grandmother’s medicines. However, Jose believes in keeping his investment low to maximize his profits. Among the things he sells are closet hangers made of copper wires he steals from the electric poles during the night. Lately his most frequent buyer of these hangers is Kasim, the local “bumbay”. Jose even joked that he must have lots of clothes to buy so many hangers but Kasim refused to explain his intentions.
