Why We’re NOT Like Machines
The other day, I read something in Men’s Health that said our metabolism makes us similar to machines. While I agree that being a “well-oiled machine” is a good idea, I want to make one thing clear: having a high metabolism is the opposite of being like a machine!
Why, you ask? Well, in order to get (or keep) a high metabolism, we have to work for it. With a machine, the more you run it, the more it wears out. The human body is much more powerful than any machine, and with high-intensity programs like turbulence training it’s easy to not only boost our metabolism, but take full advantage of it to stay in shape.
