I swore this guy was going to be an exmormon right after he got out of high school, but when I saw him years later, he wasn’t exmormon, but had completely turned his life around. He is now very respected by many people, has a great wife, five beautiful children, and he is very successful in business. He is a realtor now and apparently very good at what he does. He is hoping we will go to him when we decide the time is right for us to buy a house. I hope that will happen soon. Anything bigger would be great.

I got married right out of high school and began to raise a family. It was my choice to stay at home and take care of the house and kids, but I always envied the women I knew who had rewarding careers, such as dental assisting. The girls at my dentist’s office constantly told me I had the perfect personality to do the job and should think about it. The year my youngest child began high school I enrolled in a program and learned to become a dental assistant. Not only did I love taking the classes, I now love my job working at a local clinic. It is great having the career I always wanted.

I wonder if make up artist schools compete against each other is some sort of intramural events or a even cross-town matches. I bet it could be a fun event. I can see individual events in eyes and skin-tone matching and team events trying to do make up for a large or specialized group of guest clients, like young kids or older people. They could have an event in wedding make up and even funeral make up. Another challenge could be limiting the tools one has to work with. Maybe just provide a couple tubes of off-color lipstick a package of blush. I bet folks would learn a lot and have a great time.

Each day I like to go for a walk around town. Walking around town really makes me feel great. Not only am I getting exercise, but I also get out, and get to see lots of people. Today when I was walking around town I bumped into my friend Shannon. Shannon is just back from school, and she was telling me all about the last year of her life. She is just about ready to start a medical assisting program, and she is so excited. I’ve always known that Shannon would do great things, and now she truly is doing something amazing.

Some of my kids seemed to learn to read just by listening to the stories their father and I told them. They followed along and figured out the words. But two of our boys, who are very active, did not have the patience to sit through stories, let alone learn to read. Still, we wanted to develop a love of books in them so we bought them a program which they could use on their computer, the one thing we knew they would sit still for. Before they realized it our rowdy sons became absorbed in the lessons and were soon reading. It was the easy way to teach challenging children to read.

Ezra Taft Benson was born on August 4, 1899, in Whitney, Idaho. Ezra graduated from Brigham Young University in 1926. Ezra pursued a career in agriculture and surprisingly later, in 1953, he was appointed by President Eisenhower as the U.S Secretary of Agriculture. Mormon history States that on October 7, 1943 Benson was ordained a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostle. Benson was given special permission by David O. McKay to serve both the United States and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. After Spencer W. Kimball’s death, Ezra Taft Benson became the thirteenth president of the church.
