Four days ago I was driving up to Manchester New Hampshire with my girlfriend when I got a phone call on my cell-phone from my mom. My step-father had finally passed away after battling cancer for the past six years. I was surprised how in the past few months how quickly it finally took him. After hanging up with my mother I told my girlfriend I would have to find a good example eulogy to give at the upcoming funeral. My girlfriend talked about my step father’s death all the way up to New Hampshire. This made me feel better about things.

Though we are addicted to picking up our cell phone every time it rings, we cannot always do so if we are in a meeting. When I was in my first year of college, I couldn’t believe how much it cost just for a semesters worth of tuition. Once a month or so we have meeting for mormon women called “Enrichment”, which includes lots of things like cooking, sewing, various crafts, learning about budgeting, food storage, and often we just plain have a fun time. Mormon women gather every year to do “Super Saturday” or whatever day they choose and we make things that can be given away as Christmas gifts. Last year I made some jars of cookie and brownie mixes and I’ve also made some jewelry. One year I made a baby bracelet, knowing I would have a baby girl someday. She wore it on her blessing day.
