One of my favorite new hobbies is to get online and check into all the new lighting shops out there. They seem to spend a lot of time staging their new lighting projects in such a way that really inspires me. There have been times in the past where I get all my ideas for an entire room from a website or magazine. I usually end up taking particular liberties in various areas. However, I love sprucing up a room and making it better than it once was. And I think that getting new lighting is one of the best ways to do so.

You know what is the latest trend nowadays? Miniature servings. I have seen these mini cakes in a cake shop recently right beside their regularly sized counterparts. This got me thinking of what other mini-products have been sold as well. Go into a supermarket and you will see mini deodorants, shampoos, cookies and single serve sachets of condiments. In a department store, you can find single cup coffee Maker, mini-ovens, scented and personalized mini-candles, even miniature bottles of wine to give as gifts. I guess going “mini” while going global is a good marketing strategy for businesses, and the products look cute as well.

My friend Cathy is a certified coffee lover. She drinks at least six cups of coffee a day! I just cant imagine the amount of caffeine her body consumes everyday! In her ten years of having this coffee addiction lifestyle, she could have probably filled a dam-full of coffee! That could be an exaggeration, but she drinks coffee more than the average! She drinks coffee upon waking up in the morning, in between meals and before going to sleep. When she’s depressed and feeling down and frustrated, she resorts to drinking coffee to calm her nerves and ease her depression. How ironic indeed! That’s why when asked, what would be her most important possession or something she will never part with,without a blink, she will immediately answer her Drip coffee maker! Because it makes her coffee drinking convenient because it is easy to use and brews the best tasting coffee.

A great way to increase the flavor in your turkey recipes is to melt a bowl of butter, and add in your spices. Jose makes his living selling handmade items in the streets of Metro Manila. He is a picture of a dutiful grandson as part of his sales always goes to the purchase of his sick grandmother’s medicines. However, Jose believes in keeping his investment low to maximize his profits. Among the things he sells are closet hangers made of copper wires he steals from the electric poles during the night. Lately his most frequent buyer of these hangers is Kasim, the local “bumbay”. Jose even joked that he must have lots of clothes to buy so many hangers but Kasim refused to explain his intentions.

When I started my first home business, we lived in a tiny little place and it was a challenge to get everything where I needed it in order to be able to work well. I had to have supplies on hand to manufacture, but also had to be able to have computer access so I could manage the customer end. I had a small computer desk armoire and that helped keep things contained and out of the way, while still allowing me to do my job well. I eventually got to the point where the business wasn’t a good match for me, and am now doing something else.

Kylie was in one of her favorite boutiques selling handmade crafts. She decided to get handmade christmas gifts to give out to all the adults in her Christmas gift list because it was the less expensive option. For her nieces and nephews, she would have to go to the toy store to get them some toys, hopefully on sale. She picked up several small but useful items like paper weights, compact mirrors, and some decorative items. She also bought gift wrappers and handmade Christmas cards from Unicef. She would be sending cards out to her family who lived out of the country.
