The Opportunity Club
When I was saving up to buy my condo, I lived in an older apartment complex, without too many amenities. But the price was right.
Because of the low rent, the place attracted a lot of people who were struggling to better themselves and we got together and compared notes. Eventually we formed “The Opportunity Club”, which was a weekly meeting where we shared information about job, education, or income opportunities.
During the two years I lived there the club helped people find working from home jobs, part-time jobs, full-time jobs, and even free training.
Along the way a lot of friends were made and we learned just how much we could accomplish with a little effort and teamwork.
