Washing the tools of your trade is an important way of limiting the spread of bugs and getting environments thoroughly clean.Recent tests have shown that mops that were not cleaned after use proved to be ideal breeding grounds for germs like E coli, which can cause food poisoning. If industrial cleaning equipment is not cleaned before sanitising areas, more bugs may be deposited on surfaces than wiped away, said the University of Arizona.The researchers pointed out that bugs tended to get trapped in fibres which were then spread on floors, suggesting that regular cleaning of equipment is necessary. However, results from other equipment, such as professional cleaning machines, proved they were very effective at removing potentially harmful germs from floors.
