The way to use your new airline reward credit card is to accumulate as many points as you can without going mad in your spending to do so. Live within your means is a sensible motto, so do be aware of over-spending in the effort to get those last two thousand points you need to get the dream-destination flight paid for.
Although credit card companies do tend to be understanding to your needs when you get into difficulty when paying your balance at the end of every month, its not a pleasant experience all the same. Keep this in mind then rather than going mad with the card!
